We can help if you wish to know more about Direct Payments; you want support in starting Direct Payments or you are already a Direct Payment user. We can offer support and help with:

We can offer advice and help with:

	Understanding what Direct Payments are and how they can and cannot be used.
	What you are agreeing to by taking up a Direct Payment, Recruiting staff, - advertising, job descriptions, interviewing and contracts.
	Employment related legislation, managing the tax and National Insurance responsibilities of employers, good staff management practice and how to stay in control of your arrangements to ensure you get the best out of your staff.
	Health and safety practices.
	Employers and public liability insurance cover.
	Fair and effective staff discipline and dismissal practice.

Payroll and Direct Payment holding account

Direct Payment packages normally include help for the cost of payroll and administration. We can offer a service to cover these needs:

	Payroll service: We can do all aspects of payroll for you - including working out all the PAYE, producing payslips, end of year returns etc. We can become your agent with the Inland Revenue.
	Cheque-writing service: We can complete all cheques whether for salaries, the Inland Revenue, recruitment costs, etc. Cheques are forwarded to you for signing.
	Financial Returns: We can complete all the monthly financial returns that you are required to submit to the Borough of Poole.
	Banking: In certain circumstances we are able to hold the Direct Payments money and make payments on your behalf.
